The Oath of a Knight
A knight is more than just a warrior. He is a symbol of honor, duty, and chivalry. With these ideals in mind, I pledge the following:
Devotion to Sovereign
A knight must be loyal to his king or queen above all else. I vow to serve my sovereign with unwavering devotion, even if it means sacrificing my own life. I will follow orders without question and protect my king's interests at all times.
Defense of the Weak
A knight is also a protector of the weak and defenseless. I pledge to use my strength and skill to defend those who cannot defend themselves. I will never turn a blind eye to injustice or allow harm to come to the innocent. I will strive to be a beacon of hope, courage, and compassion for all those in need.
Adherence to Chivalry
Chivalry is the code of conduct that knights must follow. It includes values such as bravery, honesty, courtesy, and humility. I vow to uphold these ideals in all aspects of my life. I will treat others with respect and kindness, even in the face of adversity. I will strive for excellence in everything I do and seek to improve myself every day.
As a knight, I am not perfect. I will make mistakes and fail at times. But I will never give up on my oath. I will always strive to be a better person, a better warrior, and a better example of honor and chivalry. This is my oath, and I will keep it until my dying breath.
